ST. PETERSBURG, Fla., Feb. 26, 2010 – Peak Tower Investors LLC (PTI), an independent investment vehicle established by the senior executives of Odyssey Telecorp Inc., today announced the formation of Peak Tower LLC, a new company dedicated to building communications towers for major wireless carriers.
The new company initially will focus on constructing towers in the southeast United States, and AT&T and T-Mobile have committed to be anchor tenants on Peak’s first tower builds.
“We are launching Peak Tower to more effectively address the demand for additional wireless tower capacity in the Southeast,” said Sean Doherty, chairman and CEO of Odyssey, and a managing member of PTI. “We’re thrilled to have AT&T and T-Mobile as our anchor customers and expect to be working with all the major carriers to meet their network needs within our territory.”
Peak Tower will be funded by Peak Tower Investors LLC and Progress Energy, who have been longtime partners in other telecommunications ventures and bring unique expertise in building towers within utility substations and other locations.
